This works! I used to change bedding every 2-3 days. My hampster now pees in this! Seriously cuts down on odor and now I change bedding ever 7-10 days...More

This really is the cutest and my hamster loves it. She tends to pee/poo when she is tightly in her house sleeping and doesn't want to leave her coziness. However, she will do her business in the sand bath/hamster toilet. She will also give herself a little bath once totally cleaned really good before using as a toilet again.

My son's hamster throughly enjoys this sandbath. He goes in and out on his own. It's just the right size to not take up much room but allow for the hamster to move around some in it. It is plastic but feels pretty strudy and thick. The top fits on nicely. My son loves that it's clear so he can watch his hamster "bathe" in the sand.

I was afraid this container was going to be too small for our male Syrian hamster but it's roomy enough. I like that it has a lid, this makes it harder for the sand to get kicked out. The hamster enjoys his sand bath so much, I've even caught him sleeping in it! He does most of his potty stuff in there, and that helps keep his cage clean.

I admit it - I was very skeptical about getting my son's Syrian hamster a litterbox. But I was getting grossed out cleaning his cage and noticed that he always peed in the corners. So, I thought - why not? Let me tell you - not only does he ONLY use this litterbox now (which I placed in one of his pee corners), but his cage (and him) smell SOOO much better. I bought the clumping litter, but when it ran out I used sand in a pinch. He liked the sand, so I think I will just keep using that and save some money.

I got the smaller one for my two little dwarf hamsters, (both adults) and somehow they both fit cozy in it at the same time. I added it to their bigger playing enclosure and they'll hop in together and cutely rub their backs into the sand. Took them a day or 2 to get introduced to it but now they comfortably get in, dig a bit, then play. Only complaint is that the door is a little high up for getting into. There's a step area so they climb out easy but mine needed a little incline like a ramp to get in on their own. Otherwise, lovely product and delivered nicely in it's packaging.

Mt dwarf hampster LOVES it. He won't wrap up a night without cleaning off in there 4-5 times. The medium is the perfect size for this little guy, but for a regular hamster, definitely do the large. Just a great product, when I was a Habitrail kid I knew nothing about sandbaths and I'm glad it's come to the market.

I bought this because I couldnt find any litter boxes worth buying at my local pet stores. My hamster, Pipsqueak, loves to kick sand everywhere. I worried that this would be too big for her and she wouldn't be able to climb out because she was a baby (dwarf) when I first got her. She's always been able to climb out no problem. Over the weeks I've had this, she hasnt been able to kick sand out of it. It has a lip at the entrance that prevents sand from getting out.

Makes cleaning the cage so much better
